The studio was designed and built by owner and life-long musician, John Morris.  It was John's dream to create a studio which would fulfill his desire for a top quality recording facility which would be highly professional yet retain a home-like feel.  With a finely tuned ear, and extreme attention to detail, John has created a recording environment any musician with an appreciation for excellent sound quality and acoustics can truly appreciate!

Tanglewood Studios is located in Loomis, California, nestled in the peaceful foothills above the Sacramento Valley.  Its centralized location makes Tanglewood Studios the perfect location for your recording project.  Whether you're local or on tour between gigs in San Francisco, South Lake Tahoe, or Reno, Nevada, Tanglewood Studios is just a short two hour drive in either direction.

The Mezzanine level Lounge overlooks the Main Room. The Main Room is equiped with stage lighting and walls designed with acoustics in mind for superior sound. The Vault houses a collection of classic guitars and instruments for added diversity for your recording project. The "Rack-O-Death" holds cutting-edge recording and sound effect equipment. wpe1.jpg (11410 bytes) The mezzanine-level Bedroom also overlooks the Main Room. The Lounge is comfortable and very convenient for brainstorming ideas or unwinding after a session. The Bedroom is equiped with a full bathroom and a hot shower.
